Professional info . I am a visual artist with specialty areas in ceramics and drawing. I maintain a studio in NE Minneapolis. In addition to my teaching and mentoring responsibilities, I also serve on the board at Northern Clay Center.

KENOSHA — Featuring the work of Kjellgren Alkire, the experiential art installation “Chapel” will be on display through Dec. 7 at the H.F. Johnson Gallery of Art at Carthage College, Kjellgren Alkire’s ongoing exploration of rural culture, belief systems, and various power-seeking male personae will coalesce in a humorous, multi-faceted, towering installation designed to take advantage of MCAD Gallery’s 26-foot-high ceilings.
